Description

To lead end-to-end integration projects for Hach water quality analysers and monitoring systems at key client sites. The role encompasses the entire project lifecycle from design and configuration to installation, commissioning, client training, and ensuring solutions are seamlessly embedded into client processes for real-time monitoring and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of Hach projects from concept to deployment
• Configure complete system solutions involving analysers, controllers, telemetry, and data logging
• Integrate instruments with client PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, ensuring compatibility and data integrity
• Manage on-site installation, commissioning, calibration, and performance validation (FAT/SAT)
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams for smooth implementation and support
• Ensure compliance and prepare comprehensive technical documentation (design specs, diagrams, reports)

Qualifications

• Education: BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Registration: ECSA registration or eligibility (Engineering Council of South Africa)
• Experience: 3+ years in project engineering, system integration, or process automation
• Technical Skills:
• Strong skills in PLCs, SCADA/DCS, HMI programming, wiring, and networking
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC)
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring schematics, and hardware/software diagrams
• Other: Excellent project management and communication skills; Ability to work on-site and travel; A valid driver's license is implied due to the car allowance and travel requirements
• Advantageous: GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) for Factories/Mines & Works; knowledge of water quality processes
